CARE PATHWAY

From your first email to your full recovery

The Franchir pathway is structured in six steps that lead from your first contact to a documented recovery — without bureaucratic dead ends. Each step has clear deliverables and clear timeframes.

The 6 steps of the Franchir pathway

Each step has a clear owner and clear deliverables.

  1. Step 1

    Initial contact

Send us your imaging, medical history and goals. We respond within 24 to 48 working hours with the next steps.

  2. Step 2

    Montréal assessment

A 45-minute appointment with our clinical nurse specialist in Montréal. Triage, document collection and orientation.

  3. Step 3

    French specialist review

Your file is reviewed by the most relevant French spine surgeon. Treatment plan delivered within 48 hours via secure teleconsultation.

  4. Step 4

    Logistics & travel

Concierge handles your stay in France: appointments, transport, hospital admission, paperwork — including insurance support.

  5. Step 5

    Surgery & recovery in France

Surgery in a partner centre of excellence. 1 to 7 nights of hospital stay depending on the procedure, with structured early mobilisation.

  6. Step 6

    Bilingual follow-up at home

Coordinated recovery in Québec with shared follow-up between Franchir's team and your home physician — for at least 90 days.

Timelines and deliverables

We make the timeline transparent so you can plan with your family, your employer and your local team.

What you can expect

After step 1, you receive a written response within 24 to 48 working hours, never more.

The Montréal assessment is scheduled within 7 working days. The French specialist review follows within another 7 days.

From your first email to surgery, the typical timeline is 6 to 8 weeks — vs 12 to 18 months in the public Canadian system.

What we will share with you

  • Written summary after the Montréal assessment
  • French specialist's letter and treatment plan
  • Detailed quote — surgery, hospital, travel logistics
  • Pre-op checklist and rehabilitation protocol
  • Operative report and discharge letter
  • Shared follow-up plan with your home physician

Questions about the pathway

Many cases are not surgical. In that situation we deliver a clear written opinion, an evidence-based rehabilitation plan and, if useful, a referral to trusted Montréal partners. Franchir does not push surgery.
